Join us at Bradford Memorial Library for our Summer Reading Program:
How do I join? Thursday, May 31, will be our Big Summer Kick off event. Come on out to the library, check out some great books and have some fun with us! You can sign up in the Children’s Library beginning on this day.
What counts as reading? You can read to yourself, read to someone else, or have someone read to you. You can read books, magazines, and comics; you can even listen to recorded books.
How old do I have to be? There are programs for kids from birth to those just having completed the 5th grade. Older kids can check out our young adult program.
Will I earn prizes for my summer reading? Yes! Every child to complete the program this year will receive a book. There are also prizes along the way for those who read or complete their goals. We will also have weekly prize drawings for those who check out books or attend weekly programs.
Will there be any special programs? Yes! On June 7, Will Parker, Musician for ages 1-100 will be joining us at 6:30, and On July 2, Rob Thomas will present Didgeridoo Down Under. This is a show filled with Music, Education, Motivation, and Entertainment. We also have programs throughout the week such as Builder’s Club, Cooking,Crafts, and Story Times. So pick up a list of events and drop in as often as possible!
When will the Summer Reading Program end? The absolute last day and time to turn in your daily reading record and pick up prizes is Thursday Aug. 2 at 5 p.m.
